October/November 2015

Hi Everyone,

October/Novemebr have been an exciting two months for me. A lot has taken place and I'm ecited to share with you all.

At the end of September, I became an Innovative Percussion Artist. I have been using Innovative Percussion sticks and mallets since high school. I am honored to have been selected by them to be one of their artists. Their support is making many new things possible.

In October, my new music group, McCarran Circle made its debut performance at the October concert of the Carson City Symphony. I was a member of the Carson City Symphony during high school. It was nice to return to my hometown and share my music with them.

At the end of October with the support of the Nevada Arts Council, I was able to attend the National Association for Music Education (nafme

) In-Service Conference in Nashville, Tennessee. This was a unique confernce in that there was a track specifically for music composition and music composition pedagogy. I was able to network with other composers and learn new skills. I am grateful for this opportunity and hope to attend the NAFME In-Service Conference again next year. I would like to again thank the Nevada Arts Council for their generous support in making this trip possible.

In November, I had two new pieces premiered at the L-Cubed Music Series, at the University of Nevada, Reno. My new pieces, Monster in Room 13 and Glycerine were well received by the audience. I am grateful for all the musicians that performed my pieces. I can not thank them enough.

There are many more exciting things coming in December and the spring of 2016.

Thank You all for your constant support. I could not do this without it.
